Hello everyone,
A Dutch guy here that has lived in Germany for the last decade or so with a large experience in searching for the lost.
I'm searching for generic items that can tell me the history of the land that I'm searching on, not specifically for coins, gold/silver, Roman, WW2, or anything.
I do this hobby in order for a piece of land to open up and share its history with me. And yes sometimes I get lucky with something really old or valuable but for me, this is not so important.
I get more excited over a rare pipe head, or a button I have never seen before, than from the 101'st reichspfennig or a common silver coin that is already well documented everywhere.
I hope that my membership here will be able to assist me in identifying some curious finds I have made over the years by tapping into the local German knowledge in this forum.
I can fluently read and speak German, but writing is still very hard for me, this makes researching German local finds sometimes harder than it should be, any help would be highly appreciated!
Thanks for having me here!
